The information we present during the course of a Step'n Ahead workshop emanates from our experience with a subject related to that which Dr. William D. Silkworth suggested to be sometimes grave emotional and mental disorders as they are related to the illness of alcoholism.
That subject is The ISM Factor. Our goal is to shed light upon this dilemma.
Step'n Ahead into Emotional Sobriety® presents an opportunity for alcoholics to identify, face and begin to resolve dangerous, potentially devastating areas of unmanageability directly attributable to The ISM Factor and a syndrome of faulty emotional dependency.
We investigated many areas to uncover this information: the Washingtonians, the Emmanuel movement, the Oxford Groups, the history of AA, "conference approved" AA literature and selected works and writings of non-alcoholic pioneer friends of AA.
We share this information so alcoholics of our type may have an opportunity to identify, empowering them to make an accurate self-diagnosis of their condition as it relates to The ISM Factor in alcoholism.
We pray Step'n Ahead into Emotional Sobriety® -- our notes, outlines, pictures and workshop CD's -- informs, inspires and motivates those who are afflicted with or affected by the spiritual illness of alcoholism to take actions vital to recovery, actions they otherwise could not or perhaps would not consider taking.
